I believe that photography is not just about capturing a moment, but about telling a story.
I strive to share images that evoke emotion and capture the essence of nature through my lens.
Peaceful Simplicity is all about encouragement, peace, hope and kindness
Everybody hurts, and everybody has the ability to show kindness.
I have a collection of landscape photos that I have taken over the last 30+ years. I never dreamed that one day I would be using them as a backdrop for encouraging words that I hope will make a difference in someone's day.

I don't know why it seems like some people struggle a life time while others just walk through life with nothing to struggle over. It's not for us to question though, because we are all struggling over something at one time. or another.
The one thing I do believe with all of my heart is that when we do struggle and go through trials there is great deal of growth that we may not feel for a very long time, and with that growth comes the obligation to be a light to others, to use what we have come through to help others. We may never know how we helped someone or we may, but that is not ours to decide.
Our trials and struggles are not meant to be kept to ourselves, we are to share them with others who are hurting, fighting a battle, going through trials, and struggling. We learn and heal from not only our struggles but also from sharing the lessons we learn from them.
We have to keep going, and never give up.
Where do I get the quotes I use on my photos?
Most of the quotes are triggered by events in my life. Some are borrowed from songs or quotes from people. And others are from years of experience and wisdom of people that I love dearly.. Some are inspired by the Bible.
How do I choose a photo?
This is strange, but going through my photos from years and years ago, will bring up that exact moment that it was taken, and how I was emotionally attached to it determines the quote I use on it. It's not always a warm fuzzy feeling, a lot of times its dark, scary, and hurtful, causing panic, anxiety and other emotions. I can’t really explain it, and at times it’s very difficult to understand.
Sometimes when I go out driving around with my camera, some scenes just jump out at me and I know the quote I will use. Other times I just store them in my digital library and may never use them, or it might be the perfect scene for a quote years from now.
No Quotes
As you may have noticed, some photos tell their own story, no quotes, just a scene that speaks for itself, a different story every time.
